PowerProtect Data Manager on AWS

You use an Amazon Web Services (AWS) CloudFormation template to deploy an Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance with PowerProtect Data Manager to a virtual private cloud (VPC).

PowerProtect Data Manager on AWS provides protection for cloud-based assets such as the following:

  • Oracle, SQL, and SAP HANA databases
  • Virtual machines in VMware Cloud on AWS
  • Kubernetes clusters deployed to AWS

Backed up data is stored in Amazon Simple Storage Service buckets with a high level of deduplication.
