PowerProtect Data Manager support of Oracle RMAN agent with Oracle 21c

PowerProtect Data Manager supports the Oracle RMAN agent with the following Oracle 21c features:

  • Oracle 21c supports "read-only Oracle Home" by default.
  • Oracle 21c supports only the multitenant container database (CDB) architecture, not the non-CDB architecture.

NOTE:The migration of a database from a non-CDB to CDB database changes the database ID. After database migration, it is recommended that you retire the original non-CDB assets and then protect the newly discovered CDB assets going forward.
