Enable a disabled SAP HANA agent

Learn how to enable a disabled SAP HANA agent.

When the SAP HANA agent has been disabled, use one of the following methods to enable it and reregister the client with the PowerProtect Data Manager server:

  • To continue with the same version of the client, run the ppdmHanaInstall.sh command to register the client with PowerProtect Data Manager. Install the SAP HANA agent provides more information about the ppdmHanaInstall.sh command and options for installation.

    NOTE:If you specify a hostname or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) with an underscore (_) for the PowerProtect Data Manager server, then the communication will be done by the system's IP, if provided by the system on registration.
  • To update the client and also register the client with PowerProtect Data Manager, run the ppdmHanaInstall.sh -u command. Update the SAP HANA agent provides more information about the ppdmHanaInstall.sh command and options for update operations.
