Prerequisites

Ensure that an Microsoft Exchange Server environment meets the following prerequisites before you install the Microsoft application agent:

  • Install the following applications on the Windows host:
    • Microsoft Exchange Server.

    • .NET Framework 4.0 or later.

      .NET Framework 4.5 is required if you install ItemPoint for granular-level recovery.

    • 32-bit Outlook is required if you install ItemPoint for granular-level recovery.
  • In the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, click Settings icon and select Downloads from the System Settings menu. Under Microsoft Exchange Server, select Download Agent to download the Microsoft application agent download package, msappagent1914_win_x64.zip, to the Windows Microsoft Exchange Server host.
  • Log in to the Microsoft Exchange Server host as an Administrator to install the Microsoft application agent.
