After the hostname of the SAP HANA application agent host is changed, complete the required steps to enable the SAP HANA application agent and update the lockbox setting for the protection policy.
About this task
Perform the following steps to enable the SAP HANA application agent operations with
PowerProtect Data Manager after the hostname is changed.
Steps
Unregister the SAP HANA application agent from
PowerProtect Data Manager by running the
unregister.sh script from the
/opt/dpsapps/agentsvc/ directory.
Change the FQDN and hostname of the SAP HANA client computer.

/opt/dpsapps/agentsvc/config and
/opt/dpsapps/common/lockbox directories.
Reregister the SAP HANA application agent with
PowerProtect Data Manager by running the
register.sh script from the
/opt/dpsapps/agentsvc directory.
In the
PowerProtect Data Manager UI, configure the lockbox:
In the left navigation pane, select
Protection > Protection Policies.
On the
Protection Policies page, select the applicable protection policy in the list and click
Set Lockbox.

Edit the
/etc/hosts file, and add the following entry:
Run a manual discovery from
PowerProtect Data Manager.
Run a SAP HANA backup.
You can also contact SAP HANA Support for assistance if SAP HANA was installed using an old hostname and you want to configure SAP HANA to use a new hostname.
