PowerProtect Data Manager 19.16 Cloud Disaster Recovery User Guide

Prerequisites

The prerequisites for Cloud Disaster Recovery in PowerProtect Data Manager are as follows:

  • Register the vCenter server, where PowerProtect Data Manager is deployed, in the Asset Sources section of the Infrastructure pane.
    NOTE:Alternatively, click Settings icon, and then click Hosting vCenter to register the vCenter server.
  • Configure an NTP server by clicking Settings icon, and then click Time.
  • E-Lab Navigator provides more information about various regions and supported operating systems.
  • PowerProtect Data Manager has the following scale limitations:
    • 5000 Virtual Machines
    • 300 TB FE Capacity
  • Ensure that you observe the VM specifications (including CPU and memory) for Cloud DR. The latest requirements (for AWS, AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Azure Government) are listed in the Cloud Disaster Recovery Installation and Administration Guide.
  • Ensure that you understand and observe the prerequisite requirements for the cloud service that you are deploying. The latest prerequisites are listed in the Cloud Disaster Recovery Installation and Administration Guide.
