Configure a snapshot
objective to schedule snapshot creation for the selected block volume assets in the protection policy. Creating a snapshot saves the state of the asset at that particular point-in-time. Using snapshots, you can protect your data locally and restore a block volume asset to a previous state.
Steps
Click
Add under
Snapshot
The
Add Snapshot dialog appears.
On the
Snapshot Location pane, specify where to store the snapshot:
NOTE:You can only store block volume assets without a replica in the primary array.
Primary Array—Select to store the snapshot in the primary array.
Primary Array and Remote Replica Array—Select to store the snapshot in both the primary and remote replica array.
If one or more of the assets that are selected for this policy do not have a replica asset, this option is disabled.
On the
Schedules pane, specify the following fields:
Create a Snapshot every—Specify how often to take a snapshot.
Retain for—Specify the retention period for the snapshot.

End—The activity window. Specify a time of day to start taking snapshots, and a time of day after which snapshots cannot be started.
Click
Save.
Results
