PowerStore limitations
Review the following limitations that apply to PowerStore:
- Restores of an individual volume from a volume group backup are not supported.
- If a backup is taken within 1 hour of the previous backup, the job statistics may report the cumulative value from the previous backup. This limitation applies to PowerStore versions 3.5.x.x.
- Instant Access is not supported from a replicated backup copy. Instant Access is only supported for a remote snapshot or backup from the same storage unit where it was backed up originally.
- Instant Access is not supported when other backups and restores are in progress.
- Instant Access is supported for all block resources except VMware VMFS datastores.
NOTE:These limitations originate from PowerStore. Future updates to the PowerStore software may affect limitations on PowerProtect Data Manager functionality.
