Change the password of the new target storage user (PowerStore block volume type policy only)

A new target protection storage user with the role read-only access is created as part of the configuration job for PowerStore block volume protection policies. The password for this user is managed by PowerProtect Data Manager, and is changed automatically after 60 days. You can change the password manually by performing the following steps.

Change the password for a DD user with role read-only access

Perform the following steps to change the user password for a DD user with read-only access:

  1. Log in to the DD system and change the password of this user.
  2. Log in to the PowerProtect Data Manager UI.
  3. Go to Administration > Credentials. The name of this user is in the format user_ targetStorageName_UniqueIdentifier.
  4. Select the user and click Edit.
  5. Change the password, and then click Save.
