Configure a PowerStore snapshot objective for point-in-time protection
For PowerStore arrays, configure a snapshot objective to schedule snapshot creation for the selected block volume assets in the protection policy. Creating a snapshot saves the state of the asset at that particular point-in-time. Using snapshots, you can protect your data locally and restore a block volume asset to a previous state.
Steps
-
Click
Add under
Snapshot
The Add Snapshot dialog appears.
-
On the
Snapshot Location pane, specify where to store the snapshot:
NOTE:You can only store block volume assets without a replica in the primary array.
- Primary Array—Select to store the snapshot in the primary array.
- Primary Array and Remote Replica Array—Select to store the snapshot in both the primary and remote replica array.
-

- Retain for—Specify the retention period for the snapshot.
