Enable the asset source

Enabling a storage array asset source in PowerProtect Data Manager allows you to add and register the asset source for the protection of block volumes.

Steps

  1. Log in to the PowerProtect Data Manager user interface as a user with the Administrator role.
  2. From the left navigation pane, select Infrastructure > Asset Sources.
    The Asset Sources window appears.
  3. Click + to reveal the New Asset Source tab.
  4. In the PowerStore or PowerMax pane, click Enable Source.
  5. Review the informational dialog box, and then click Close.
    The Asset Sources window updates to display a PowerStore or PowerMax tab.
