PowerProtect Data Manager 19.17 Storage Array User Guide

Modifying parameters used during PowerMax backup and restore operations

Some parameters, such as the name of the storage group that is zoned to the ESXi host, can be changed by modifying the sdmng service application.yml configuration file. This file is located at /usr/local/brs/lib/sdmng/config/application.yml

Modifying parameters for the required settings

  1. Log in to the PowerProtect Data Manager console as an admin user.
  2. Edit the file /usr/local/brs/lib/sdmng/config/application.yml to modify the values for the required settings.
  3. Restart the sdmng service using the sdmng restart command once the changes are saved in the application.yml file.
NOTE:Back up the application.yml file to another host in order to save your changes during the update process. Otherwise, the update process overwrites the file. Restore the configuration file post-update. Restart sdmng service using the sdmng restart command once the file changes are complete.
