Restoring PowerMax block volume data

When data in storage groups is backed up as part of a crash consistent/application consistent protection policy in PowerProtect Data Manager, you can restore the backups by using the centralized restore functionality in the PowerProtect Data Manager UI.

You can perform the following types of centralized restores of storage groups:

  • Restore data from primary or replicated backups to the original storage group.
  • Restore data from primary or replicated backups to an alternate storage array on the same or different PowerMax array.
