Restoring PowerStore block volume data

When data in PowerStore volumes or volume groups is backed up as part of a crash consistent/application consistent protection policy in PowerProtect Data Manager, you can restore the backups by using the centralized restore functionality in the PowerProtect Data Manager UI.

You can perform the following types of centralized restores of PowerStore volumes and volume groups:

• Restore data from primary or replicated backups to the original block volume
• Restore data from primary or replicated backups to an alternate block volume on the same or different storage array
• Restore data from a snapshot to the original location
• Refresh data on a clone using a snapshot
• Instant Access restore from a primary backup to the same storage array.
