router-id

Assigns a user-given ID to a BGP router.

Syntax
router-id ip-address
Parameters
ip-address — Enter an IP address in dotted decimal format.
Default
First configured IP address or random number
Command Mode
ROUTER-BGP
Usage Information
Change the router ID of a BGP router to reset peer-sessions. The no version of this command resets the value to the default.
Example
OS10(conf-router-bgp-10)# router-id 10.10.10.40
