Enables BGP and assigns an AS number to the local BGP speaker.

Syntax

router bgp as-number

Parameters

as-number—Enter the AS number range.

1 to 65535 in 2 byte
1 to 4294967295 in 4 byte

The AS number can be a 16-bit integer. The no version of this command resets the value to the default.
