Create iDRAC Service Module baseline in vSphere Client

To create iDRAC Service Module (iSM) baseline in vSphere Client (VC), complete the following steps:

  1. In the left pane of vSphere Client, select the data center name and click Updates > Baselines.
  2. In the Attached Baselines panel, click ATTACH > Create and Attach Baseline.
  3. In the Create Baseline dialogue box, complete the following:
    1. In Name and Description, enter the baseline name and select Extension as the content type.
    2. Click NEXT.
    3. In Select Extensions, select the appropriate iDRAC Service Module extension using which you want to create the baseline.
      NOTE:For VMware ESXi 8.0 operating system, the iDRAC Service Module extension name is DEL-dcism: iDRAC Service Module.
    4. Click NEXT.
    5. In Summary, review the baseline information.
    6. Click FINISH.
    The baseline for the selected iDRAC Service Module extension is created.
