For the list of operating systems that are supported on iSM, see Supported operating systems.

To check the iSM running status on Microsoft Windows operating systems, run the following command:

NOTE:The default USB NIC IP address set by iSM from iSM version 4.x.x.x is 169.254.1.1. The USB NIC IPv6 address that is used in iSM is fe80::1234 and this address is not reconfigurable in iDRAC.
NOTE:During the installation of iSM, the OS to iDRAC Pass-through channel is enabled in USB NIC mode. Use any of the iDRAC interfaces to modify the OS to iDRAC Pass-through configuration. However, if the OS to iDRAC Pass-through state is set to Disabled, then the iSM features that depend on the USB NIC will not be functional.
