Uninstall iDRAC Service Module on VMware ESXi

To uninstall iDRAC Service Module (iSM) on VMware ESXi operating systems, run the following command:

esxcli software component remove -n DEL-dcism

On VMware ESXi 7.x operating system, you can also run the following optional command for uninstallation:

esxcli software vib remove -n dcism, where the vib name is dcism.

On VMware ESXi 8.0 operating system, you can also run the following optional command for uninstallation:

esxcli software vib remove -n dellism, where the vib name is dellism.

NOTE:After the uninstallation of iSM on VMware ESXi 8.0 operating system, residual files will be removed only after the operating system reboot.
