iDRAC Service Module uses the operating system to BMC pass through in Universal Serial Bus Network Interface Card (USBNIC) mode to communicate with iDRAC. USBNIC is a wired connection that is embedded within the motherboard. The device is emulated as a network interface on the operating system. It uses link local IPv4 or IPv6 addresses and does not allow routing.
