- Message
- The Transparent Learn Cycle (TLC) operation of the energy pack on arg1 has timed out.
- Arguments
- arg1 = controller Name
- Detailed Description
- The Transparent Learn Cycle (TLC) operation of the energy pack on has timed out because of one of the following reasons.1) The controller energy pack must be fully charged before the learn cycle can begin. The energy pack may be unable to maintain a full charge causing the learn cycle to timeout.2) The energy pack must be able to maintain cached data for a specified period of time in the event of a power loss. For example, some energy packs maintain cached data for 24 hours. If the energy pack is unable to maintain cached data for the required period of time, then the Learn cycle will timeout.
- Recommended Response Action
- Do one or more of the following: 1) Perform a Power Cycle operation on the server and check the status of energy pack by using iDRAC User Interface or running the following RACADM command: racadm serveraction powercycle. 2) If energy pack status is not ready replace the energy pack. 3) If still the energy pack is unable to maintain a full charge. Review the Energy Pack Transparent Learn Cycle (TLC) within the Dell PowerEdge Raid Controller User Guide for additional information. If the issue persists, Collect a SupportAssist collection (TSR) report using iDRAC. Visit https://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/contactus/dynamic to use the Virtual Assistant to analyze the collection and recommend a resolution.
