- To resolve any temporary issues in communicating with the fans, restart iDRAC. If the issue persists, do the following: 1) Open the chassis cover and check for any cable interference in the fan blades. 2) Remove the fan (as identified in the iDRAC log) from the server and then reinstall in the same slot. 3) Make sure the fan is removed from its connector on the motherboard. 4) Swap the fan with another fan from a different location in the same server. 5) If the issue persists, replace the fan with a new fan. 6) After installing the new fan in the slot, if the issue persists, Collect a SupportAssist collection (TSR) report using iDRAC.
