Storage devices
OpenManage Storage Management displays more storage devices than iDRAC while information for all the storage devices connected to the system are not displayed. Why?
iDRAC displays information for only the Comprehensive Embedded Management (CEM) supported devices.
In MX platforms with HBA 330MMZ and two IOMs, EEMI message for the IOM removal is generated with the id ENC42, however, EEMI message (ENC41) for IOM restoration is not generated.
To confirm restoration of the IOM in iDRAC web interface:
- Go to
- Select the enclosure.
- Under Advanced Properties, ensure that the value for Redundant Path is set to Present, then IOM restoration is confirmed.
