  2. Remove the base cover.

NOTE: This procedure only applies for computers shipped with a 4-cell battery (64 Wh) installed.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the front-speaker cable from the system board.
  2. Remove the front-speaker cable from the routing guides on the system board and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
  3. Peel the tapes securing the front-speaker cable to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
  4. Lift the speakers and its cable off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
