Removing the coin-cell battery

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the stand.
  3. Remove the back cover.
  4. Remove the I/O cover.
  5. Remove the system-board shield.

  1. Press the metal tab to release the coin-cell battery from the coin-cell battery socket.
  2. Lift the coin-cell battery from the coin-cell battery socket.
