Removing the middle-frame assembly

CAUTION:The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the stand.
  3. Remove the back cover.
  4. Remove the I/O cover.
  5. Remove the hard drive.
  6. Remove the system-board shield.
  7. Remove the media-card reader.
  8. Remove the fan.
  9. Remove the memory module.
  10. Remove the wireless card.
  11. Remove the retractable-camera assembly.
  12. Remove the M.2 2230 solid-state drive or, M.2 2280 solid-state drive, which ever applicable.
  13. Remove the integrated heat sink or, discrete heat sink.
  14. Remove the system board.
  15. Remove the speakers.
  16. Remove the microphones.
  17. Remove the stand hinges.
  18. Remove the power-button board with USB.
  19. Remove the display panel.
