Removing the SSD module

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your tablet.
2. Remove the:
   1. uSIM/microSD card

      NOTE: : uSIM card slot is available only on tablets shipping with WWAN module.

   2. display panel
   3. battery
3. To remove the SSD module:
   1. Remove the M2 x 2.5 screw securing the SSD shield [1].
   2. Lift the SSD shield away from the tablet [2].

      NOTE: :

      • For models shipped with M.2 2280 SSDs, the SSD requires installation of a shielding cover over the SSD.
      • There are five clips near the M.2 2280 SSD slot on the Latitude 5290 2-in-1 system board.
      • For models shipped with M.2 2230 SSDs, the SSD requires installation of a holder over the SSD for securing the SSD in place.

   3. Slide and lift the SSD module from the slot on the tablet [3].

      NOTE: : Ensure NOT to lift the SSD card by an angle more than 15°.
