Removing system board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your tablet.
  2. Remove the:
    1. uSIM/microSD card

      NOTE: : Micro-SIM card slot is available only on tablets shipping with WWAN module.

      NOTE: : A piece of mylar tape covers the SIM Card slot, ensure to remove the mylar for models configured with WLAN card.

    2. display panel
    3. battery
    4. SSD card
    5. system fan
    6. WLAN card
    7. front camera
    8. rear camera
    9. heat sink
  3. Disconnect the following cables from the system board .
    1. Lift the latch and disconnect the docking board cable [1]
    2. USB Type-C port bracket
    3. speaker cable [2]
    4. USH board cable [3]
    The image displays disconnecting the system boards cables.
  4. Un route the antenna cables from the routing clips [1,2,3].
    The image displays to unrouting the cables.
  5. To remove the system board
    1. Remove the bracket M2 x 2.5 screws (2) and lift the bracket form the tablet [1],[2].
    2. Release the coin cell battery from the adhesive on the tablet chassis [3].

    3. Remove the M2 x 2.5 screws (4) that secure the system board to the tablet [1].

      NOTE: : There are different screws sizes that secure the hinges to the system.

    4. Lift the system board from the tablet [2].
    The image displays to remove the screws that secure the system board.
