Removing the Smart card board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery
    2. hard drive
    3. optical drive
    4. base cover
    5. hard drive tray
  3. To remove the Smart card board:
    1. Lift the latch [2] and disconnect the cable from the connector [3].
    2. Remove the screws that secure the Smart card board [6].
    3. Lift the Smart card board away from the assembly [7].
