Installing the 5G WWAN card (Optional)

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

NOTE:The following steps are for computers with WWAN support.

The following image(s) indicate the location of the 5G WWAN card and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Connect the antenna cables to the 5G WWAN card.

The following table provides the antenna-cable color scheme for the 5G WWAN card that is supported by your computer.

Align the notch on the 5G WWAN card with the tab on the 5G WWAN-card slot.
Insert the 5G WWAN card at an angle into the 5G WWAN-card slot .
Align the screw holes on the 5G WWAN-card shield with the screw holes on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Replace the two screws (M2x3) that secure the 5G WWAN-card shield to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Align the screw hole on the 5G WWAN-card bracket with the screw hole on the 5G WWAN card.
Replace the screw (M2x3) that secures the 5G WWAN bracket to the 5G WWAN card.
