Removing the LED board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. WLAN card
    4. SSD card
    5. chassis frame
  3. To remove the LED board:
    1. Lift the latch and disconnect the LED board cable from the connector on the LED board [1].
    2. Remove the M2x3 screw that secures the LED board to the laptop [2].
    3. Lift the LED board away from the laptop [3].
