Removing the Display Assembly (Touch)

  • WARNING: For the Touch system, the display assembly is a single component and should not be further dismantled.
  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. access panel
    3. memory module
    4. hard drive
    5. optical drive
    6. keyboard
    7. palmrest
  3. Disconnect the touch cable and display cable. Disconnect the antennae cables from the WLAN card Figure displaying how to remove the cables from the system board.
  4. Remove the screws that secure the display assembly to the computer. Lift the display assembly from the computer. Figure displaying how to lift the display assembly from the computer.
