Removing the USH Board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

    3. hard-drive assembly

    4. keyboard trim

    5. keyboard

    6. palmrest

  3. Perform the following steps to remove the USH board:
    1. Disconnect all the cables from the USH board [1] [2].
    2. Remove the screw that secures the USH board to the palmrest [3].
    3. Remove the USH board from the palmrest [4].Figure displaying how to remove the USH board from the palmrest.
