Removing the Hard Drive

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. base cover
  3. Perform the following steps:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the hard drive in place.
    2. Pull the hard drive to remove from its connectors.Figure displaying how to remove the hard drive from the computer.
  4. After removing the hard drive, perform the following steps:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket.
