Removing the Speakers

Steps

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside your computer.
  2. Remove:
    1. SD card
    2. ExpressCard
    3. battery
    4. keyboard
    5. hard drive
    6. optical drive
    7. display-hinge cap
    8. base cover
    9. base-corner cover
    10. palmrest assembly
    11. power connector
    12. coin cell
    13. memory
    14. WLAN card
    15. WWAN card
    16. heatsink
    17. processor
    18. VGA board
    19. ExpressCard cage
    20. system board
  3. Remove the speaker cable from the routing channels. Remove the screws that secure the speakers to the computer.

  4. Lift the speakers from the computer.
