Removing the optional PCIe SSD

  • NOTE: Your system can accommodate either an SSD or PCIe SSD and not both.
  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

  3. To remove the PCIe SSD:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the SSD bracket to the computer [1].
    2. Remove the SSD bracket [2].
    3. Remove the SSD from the computer [3].Figure displaying removing the PCIe SSD card.
