Configure DDLA (Dell Digital License Administrator) for served XML license

About this task

DDLA is available on both Windows and Linux platforms. You can configure DDLA on the same NetWorker machine or a different machine.

In the Linux operating system:

Steps

  1. Download the latest DDLA version ddla-server-LSBx64-1.0.5.tgz.
  2. Extract the file using the command tar -xvzf ddla-server-LSBx64-1.0.5.tgz.
  3. Browse the extracted folder cd ddla-server-LSBx64-1.0.5.
    Ensure that all files within the directory have 755 permission chmod -R 755 *
  4. Run ./ddla.sh -h for the list of available commands.
    1. To run the DDLA server, run ./ddla.sh run-daemon.
    2. To verify the DDLA server status, run ./ddla.sh health.

In the Windows operating system:

  1. Download the latest DDLA version ddla-server-WINx64-1.0.5.zip.
  2. Extract the windows zip file.
  3. Browse the extracted folder location and open the Windows Command Prompt there.
  4. Run ddla.bat -h for the list of available commands.
    1. To run the DDLA server, run ddla.bat run-service.
    2. To verify the DDLA server status, run ddla.bat health.

Results

Ensure that the DDLA server is up and running to support XML served licenses.
