Migration from unserved Flexera license
to unserved XML license
Prerequisites
Starting with NetWorker 19.13, Flexera licenses are no longer
supported. Therefore, during migration, if a valid Flexera license was applied in
earlier NetWorker releases, look for dpa.lic license, and generate
a new dpa.xml license.
If the dpa.xml
license file is not created in the expected nsr/lic location
after the upgrade, ensure that you obtain a new, valid XML license file. See the
topic How to
obtain the NetWorker license for more details.
Steps
Go to the command prompt and run nsradmin -d "C:\Program
Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\res\nsrdb".
Type visual for full-screen mode.
Select a resource type to be displayed, and choose the resource
NSR license .
Delete all licenses under type NSR license .
NOTE:Before removing any existing licenses of type
NSR license, ensure that a valid XML license is
in place. If you encounter any issues, contact the Dell licensing
team.
Depending on the operating system, perform the following steps:
In all Linux flavors:

/nsr/lic, and add the following entries:

license.path=/nsr/lic/dpa.xml
NOTE:Change the license path from
/nsr/lic/dpa.lic to
/nsr/lic/dpa.xml.
Start the NetWorker services.
In all Windows flavors:

Edit the licspec.properties file in
C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\lic, and

NOTE: Change the license path from
C:\Program Files\EMC
NetWorker\nsr\lic\dpa.lic to C:\Program
Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\lic\dpa.xml.
Start the NetWorker services.
On the NetWorker server, launch the NMC Administration window, right-click the server, and then select
Properties from the list. The Server Properties window appears.
Select the Licensing tab.
In the CLP license text field, click
Browse.
Browse to the location of the license file, and select the license
file.
Before clicking OK, check the Enable the CLP
refresh box, and apply for the license.
Click Validate license. The Validate
license button will be disabled until the contents are
validated. You can check the status by using the nsrlic -C command.

an entry for CLP Capacity License that indicates the Authorized -No
