Removing the Intrusion Switch

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover
    2. heatsink assembly
  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Press the intrusion-switch cable [1].
    2. Disconnect the intrusion-switch cable from the system board [2].
    3. Slide the intrusion switch toward the bottom of the chassis and remove it from the computer
