Removing the Heatsink

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover
    2. processor fan module
  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the heatsink to the system board [1].
    2. Lift the heatsink away from the system board [2].
