Removing 2.5-inch drive assembly

NOTE:Depending on the configuration you order, you may see either of the heat sinks as shown in the image below.

Heat sink

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover
  3. To remove the hard drive assembly:
    1. Push the release tabs and disconnect the hard drive power cable [1][2].
    2. Disconnect the hard drive assembly cables from the hard drive [3] [4].
    Removing 2.5-inch drive
  4. To remove the hard drive assembly:
    1. Hold and push the release tab [1].
    2. Lift the hard drive assembly from the computer [2].
