Perform Online capacity expansion—Expand a VD by adding a PD to a disk group
About this task
Expand a VD by adding a hard drive to a disk group.
NOTE:This feature is available only if there is no sufficient free disk space available in the associated disk group.
Steps
- Navigate to the PERC Configuration Utility.
- Click .
- Select the virtual disk.
- From the Operations drop-down menu, select Expand Virtual Disk.
- Click Go.
- Click Add Physical Disks.
- To expand a VD, select hard drives that you want to add to the VD.
- Click OK. The VD is successfully expanded.
