Installing the rear system cover

Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.

Ensure that all internal cables are routed correctly and connected, and no tools or extra parts are left inside the system.
NOTE Route the cables properly when you replace them to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
CAUTION While installing the rear cover, if there is any resistance do not apply force. Check the areas that are highlighted in the image and ensure that the cables are clear of the lid feature and chassis wall.

Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system and slide the cover towards the front of the system.
The system cover slides forward, the tabs on the system cover engage with the guide slots on the system and the cover latch locks into place.
CAUTION Place the cables below the guide slots on the system and do not slide the rear cover forward if cables are getting pinched.

Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, secure the cover in place with screws.
