Performing hardware diagnostics on selected components

You can run targeted hardware diagnostics in Lifecycle Controller (LC) for a specific server component.

  1. Start Lifecycle Controller.
  2. In the left pane of Lifecycle Controller, click Hardware Diagnostics.
  3. In the right pane, click Run Hardware Diagnostics.
    The diagnostics utility is launched.
  4. Pause testing, click the right arrow, and then click Advanced Options.
    The Advanced Options dialog box is displayed.
  5. Deselect the components for which you do not want to run hardware diagnostics.
  6. Select the number of Test Iterations.
    NOTE:Select 0 for infinite iterations.
  7. Close the Advanced Options dialog box.
  8. Select the Thorough Test Mode checkbox, and then click the center arrow to run the diagnostics on the selected component.
