Installing The iDRAC Ports Card

Unpack the iDRAC Ports card and prepare it for installation. For instructions, see the documentation accompanying the card.
Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and peripherals.
Open the system.
Locate the iDRAC Ports card connector on expansion-card riser 1.
Open the expansion-card latch and remove the filler bracket.
Holding the card by its edges, position the card so that the card-edge connector aligns with the iDRAC Ports card connector.
Align the iDRAC Ports card bracket with the hooks on the chassis.
Insert the card-edge connector firmly into the iDRAC Ports card connector until the card is fully seated.
Slide the expansion-card latch into position.
If applicable, connect cables to the iDRAC Ports card.
Close the system.
Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals.
Install any device drivers required for the card as described in the documentation for the card.
