Removing the intrusion switch

Prerequisites

  • CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician.   1. Ensure that you read the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system .
  3. Remove the cooling shroud.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the intrusion switch cable from the connector on the system board.
  2. Slide the intrusion switch out of the intrusion switch slot.

  • Install the intrusion switch.
  • Install the cooling shroud.
