Removing the cooling fan cage board

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the following components:
    1. Air shroud
    2. Cooling fan cage assembly
  4. Disconnect cables from the fan board.

Steps

  1. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver. remove the screws that secures the fan board to the system.
  2. Holding the edges lift the fan board out of the system.
