Removing an intrusion switch
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
- Remove the fan cage.
- Remove the air shroud.
- If applicable, remove the expansion card risers.
- Remove the PEM.
- Press the blue release tabs on the fan tray and lower the sides of the tray.
- Disconnect the cable connected to the intrusion switch connector (INTRUSION) on the system board.
Steps
- Press the cable management bracket down until the tabs on the bracket disengage from the slots on the side of the system.
- Lift the cable management bracket out of the system.
- Press the tab on the intrusion switch cable connector and disconnect the cable connected to the intrusion switch connector (INTRUSION) on the system board.
- Remove the cables routed through the cable routing hooks on the right side of the system.
- Push the intrusion switch out of the intrusion switch
slot.
