Dell PowerEdge RAID Controller 10 User’s Guide PERC H345, H740P, H745, and H840 Series Controllers

Non-RAID disk

A non-RAID disk is a single disk that is presented and accessible to the host for I/O. It is not a RAID volume. The only supported cache policy for non-RAID disks is write-through.

H740P, H745, and H745P MX non-RAID disks are only configurable in the eHBA mode. They are not configurable in RAID mode. For more details on eHBA mode, see Enhanced HBA mode and for instructions on how to configure a non-RAID disk, see Convert to non-RAID disk. H345 does support non-RAID drives in RAID mode.

NOTE:H840 does not support non-RAID drives.
