Removing the cooling fan board

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the cooling fans.
  4. Remove the cooling fan cage.

Steps

  1. Remove the two screws securing the fan board bracket.
  2. Lift the fan board module from the hard disk drive back plane board.

  3. Remove the screw securing the fan board.
  4. Remove the cooling fan board out of the bracket.
